One of the best companies for kid smartwatches has released a new device. COSMO's JrTrack 4 has parental controls, music, kid-safe apps, and more. This year, the Cosmo JrTrack 3 placed in our Kid Safety Awards, so we expect the JrTrack 4 to be a winner, too.

The JrTrack 4 smartwatch is intended for kids ages 6 to 12. It will be available in time for the holiday season and will cost $129.99.

“There’s a growing movement of families right now looking for better technology to connect and protect their kids,” said COSMO’s Founder & CEO Russell York. “We’re proud to be at the forefront of that movement and truly listening to the needs of parents and kids.”

JrTrack 4 features

Just like the older model, the JrTrack 4 has family-safe messaging and GPS tracking. So what's new? The JrTrack 4 includes COSMO’s new Parent Portal BETA, which features a library of kid-friendly apps like GoNoodle.

The watch will also include:

  • Flexible parental controls that enable parents to set time limits and add or remove apps from the watch
  • Kid-friendly music through apps like Spotify Kids
  • Text, voice, video, and picture messaging
  • Automatic audio message transcription capabilities (coming later this year)
  • Automatic number blocking for phone numbers not approved by parents
  • Certified IP68 water, dust, and dirt resistance

“We believe parents know best and we understand that no two families or kids are alike,” explained York. “These new features are a leap forward in our vision to give parents the tools they need to confidently manage their child’s digital experiences in a secure, flexible, and meaningful way.”

“It’s all about building digital tools that actually encourage and empower more real-world connection and experiences,”continued York. “We really believe that the right kind of safe connection for kids can be life changing.”

SafeWise will be doing hands-on testing, so keep an eye out for our upcoming COSMO JRTrack 4 review.
