Service is sold in bundles, ranging from Starter to Advanced. These bundles give your child different levels of app access, communication options, entertainment features, and cloud backup. After you pick the bundle that best fits your needs, you choose either a month-to-month or 2-year contract plan. Pricing is based on the combination of the bundle you choose and the plan.

Month-to-month plans range from $29.99 to $39.99, depending on the selected features and contract length. These plans don't have a contract and you cancel at any time. You can get a price break if you're willing to sign on for two years. Two-year contracts range from $24.99 to $34.99 per month.

There's also an optional warranty available for $4.99 per month. The pricing structure for the plans is straightforward, with the cost remaining consistent over the contract period.

Exclusive Gabb features

One of our favorite things about all Gabb products is that they're designed specifically to keep kids safe and parents less worried. To make that happen, Gabb created its own apps and features that are exclusive to its products: GabbOS, Gabb Guard™, Gabb Messenger™, and Gabb Music®. With the Gabb Phone Pro 3, the company introduced Gabb Music+, that gives your kids full control over their listening experience—all without the worry of explicit lyrics.

Here's a rundown of Gabb's proprietary apps and features.

  • GabbOS: The Gabb operating system for phones was built to create a safe tech environment for kids and teens using Gabb devices. It shields children from internet browsers and other risky apps while offering flexibility to grant more access as kids demonstrate readiness and need it.
  • Gabb Guard™ and Gabb Messenger™: Smart filtering for explicit content and robust parental control over contacts and messages.
  • Gabb Music® and Gabb Music+: A clean music streaming service with an extensive library of kid-safe songs. Gabb Music provides a radio-style listening experience, while Gabb Music+ lets kids search for artists and songs, create playlists, and download music to their device.

More Gabb features we like

  • User-friendly design: The Gabb Phone 3 Pro is easy to use, making it suitable for kids who are just starting out with smartphones.
  • Parent-vetted apps: No social media access, but a variety of Gabb-approved apps can be enabled through the parent portal.
  • GPS tracking: Reliable GPS tracking through the Gabb parent app helps parents monitor their child's location and set safe zones.
  • Upgraded display and camera: A 6.6-inch Infinity-V display and Quad Core camera system with wide, ultrawide, macro, and depth lenses. This is a phone kids can use throughout middle school and high school without being embarassed!

Gabb Phone 3 Pro drawbacks

While we love the Gabb Phone 3 Pro overall, there a few drawbacks to be aware of.

  • Battery life: The device has a relatively low battery capacity, which may require more frequent charging.
  • Limited carrier compatibility: It only works with Gabb Wireless, limiting flexibility with other mainstream carriers. But this is also what makes the Gabb phone so safe for kids.
  • Text monitoring: Limited text monitoring capabilities could be a concern for some parents.
  • No included warranty: The warranty is not included and costs an additional $4.99 per month.
  • Bundles vs. plans: There can be some confusion regarding the difference between bundles (features and limits for the phone) and plans (contract or pay-as-you-go options).

Final word : Gabb Phone 3 Pro is a safe phone that can grow with your child

The Gabb Phone 3 Pro is an excellent choice for parents looking to introduce their children to smartphones in a controlled and safe environment. Its user-friendly design, robust parental controls, and exclusive Gabb features make it a standout option in the market for kid-safe technology.

While it has some drawbacks, such as limited battery life and carrier compatibility, the overall benefits and reassurance it offers to parents make it a worthwhile investment. For parents seeking a device that grows with their child and provides a secure digital experience, the Gabb Phone 3 Pro is highly recommended.
