Ticketek Australia has apologised to customers after it became aware of a "cyber incident" impacting account holder information.
On Friday, Ticketek addressed affected customers via email, assuring them that their Ticketek account password and payment information had not been compromised, but that names, dates of birth and email addresses may have been impacted.
The incident comes just days after hackers put the data of 560 million Ticketmaster customers for sale on the dark web. Although Ticketek and Ticketmaster are both ticketing companies, they are separate entities and there is no evidence that the two incidents are related.
