The camera comes with a zoom and pan feature, infrared night vision, and two-way talk, so you can soothe bub from another room. The movement pad boasts precise levels of detection, meaning you might end up having a false alarm or two. That being said, it's better to be safe than sorry, and the pad's sensitivity can be adjusted to suit your baby as they grow older.

Expensive One of the most budget-friendly monitors available is the VTech Video Baby Monitor. It has all the simplicity of a traditional monitor, with a boost of modern technology in the form of two-way talk, a temperature sensor, and an impressive 300 m operating range.
The main drawback is that you'll need to charge the VTech parent unit every day because its battery lasts a measly 2.5 hours. The screen is also incredibly small at just 2.4 inches diagonal, so it can be hard to see what your baby's doing.
It's also important to note that this isn't a pan-and-tilt camera, so it may not work for a cot-climber.
